Does This Sound Familiar?
You’ve tried the stickers. The screen time rewards. The consequences. And it workedβ¦ for about three days.
- The homework battle that ends in tears (yours or theirs)
- The morning routine that takes 90 minutes
- The "I can't" before they even try
- The meltdown over something that seemed like nothing
And that voice in your head wondering: “Why don’t they just have more grit? More motivation?”
It’s not about grit. It’s not about trying harder. And it’s not about more stickers. Something deeper is going on. Once you see it, everything changes.

What If the Issue Is Not Effort, But Missing ROOTS?
Most adults want kids and teens to persist through hard things, recover from setbacks, and stay engaged when life feels messy. What is often missing is not care or consistency. It is a clear understanding of the conditions that actually support emotional regulation and resilience.
This workshop focuses on building those conditions. Not short-term fixes that backfire later. Not pressure. Not compliance. Small shifts lead to big changes.
Perfect for parents, educators, therapists, and anyone who supports children.
βEmily Kircher Morris delivered an excellent, easy to follow training packed with practical, real world takeaways. She was knowledgeable, accommodating in how she engaged attendees, and shared wisdom that left us with clear, helpful steps we can actually use.β
Meet Emily Kircher-Morris
Emily Kircher-Morris, LPC, is a mental health professional, author, and neurodiversity affirming clinician with more than a decade of experience supporting neurodivergent kids, teens, and adults.
Emily brings both professional and lived experience to her work. She navigated the education system as a twice exceptional student and as the parent of three neurodivergent children. These perspectives shape her focus on regulation, autonomy, and creating conditions that support growth without pressure or shame.
The ROOTS framework was developed through Emilyβs clinical work and years of supporting families and professionals who asked the same question again and again:
What actually helps kids regulate, stay engaged, and recover when things feel hard?
Emily is also the host of the Neurodiversity Podcast and provides professional development for educators, clinicians, and caregivers.
She is the author of multiple books supporting neurodivergent learners, including:
- Neurodiversity Affirming Schools

Common Questions
Is this a LIVE or Recorded workshop?
You get LIFETIME access to this recorded workshop. You can make a plan, get comfy and grab your notebook. This also means you can take breaks and come back to it anytime. Plus you can speed up or slow down depending on what works for you and your amazing brain.
Is this for parents or professionals?
Both. Parents come for their own kids. Educators and clinicians come for the kids they work with. The ROOTS framework works the same either way.
What ages does this work for?
If your child or student is struggling with meltdowns, shutdowns, or the avoid-pushback cycle this applies. The framework works whether they’re 4 or 14.
I've tried so many things. How is this different?
Most approaches focus on managing behavior, rewards, consequences, stickers. This goes deeper. Emily’s ROOTS framework helps you understand what’s actually driving the dysregulation, so you can respond differently. It’s not another band-aid.
What if my child's behaviors are really extreme?
The parents who feel most hopeless are often the ones closest to a breakthrough. This framework was built for the kids who don’t respond to typical approaches.
What's in the 7 Day Regulation Reset besides the workshop recording?
Eight bonuses, including three brand new ones. Phrases to Say Tonight (what to say when your kid’s brain has gone offline). When It Backfires (a guide for when the strategies don’t land). Your First 7 Days (one small action per day so you don’t freeze on Day 1). Full list above.
When does the kit come down?
The last day to to get the 7 Day Regulation Reset is Friday, June 5 at 11:59pm Pacific. If you’re on the fence, this is the decision window.
